Performance Opportunities:
- Piano area recitals highlighting the vast piano repertoire. Recent programs include American Piano Music and French Music for Piano and Narrator
- Annual concerto competition -- past piano winners performed Tchaikovsky Piano Concerto No. 1, Rachmaninoff Piano Concerto No. 2, Saint-Saëns Piano Concerto No. 2, and Grieg Piano Concerto
- Collaborative experiences through courses such as Art Song Repertoire, Accompanying, and Chamber Music, as well as the annual Crane Chamber Music Competition
- Ensemble opportunities, including Latin Ensemble, Jazz Band, and Crane Chorus
Teaching Opportunities:
- Two-semester piano pedagogy practicum, teaching beginning piano to elementary-aged students in group and individual settings
- One-semester piano pedagogy practicum, teaching intermediate repertoire to adult students
- Music education degrees from one of the oldest music teacher preparation programs in the nation
Professional Opportunities:
- Crane Piano Pedagogy Conference -- connect with and learn from leaders in the field of piano pedagogy, present research posters, network with area teachers
